After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Miller, Southwest was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Galena Bears get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Considering the Trojans have won four games by more than 13 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jacee Durossette was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Durossette was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Southwest got a massive performance out of Riley Flippo, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple was Flippo's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kaleigh Tull, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Southwest is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Galena, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Southwest will welcome Wheaton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Galena, they will head out to face off against Hurley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
