Baseball Recap: Coffee County Central Comes Up Short

If Coffee County Central was riding high fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Spring Hill last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Raiders fell just short of the Stewarts Creek Red Hawks by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Red Raiders have suffered since April 22, 2024.

Cole Pippenger was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Landan Abellana was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Coffee County Central has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-9 record this season. As for Stewarts Creek, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-10.
