Soccer Game Preview: Plano vs. Plano West

The Plano Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Plano West Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Plano took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Princeton with a sharp 4-1 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Plano's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Plano West was able to grind out a solid win over Rock Hill on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. The victory continues a trend for Plano West in their matchups with Rock Hill: they've now won three in a row.

Plano West now has a winning record of 5-4-2. As for Plano, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-6-1.

Plano suffered a grim 5-2 defeat to Plano West in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
