The Solanco Golden Mules are taking a road trip to take on the Manheim Central Barons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Solanco knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Manheim Central likes a good challenge.
Solanco is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Conrad Weiser, posting a 62-20 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Golden Mules' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Scouts are ranked 210th).

Johnny Garcia produced another solid performance rushing for 319 yards and four scores while picking up 19.9 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 13 rushing touchdowns on the season. Kris Burgos-Wise was in the mix too, providing Solanco with two TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Solanco was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 518 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Meanwhile, Manheim Central had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 35-7 win over the Eagles. That looming 35-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Barons yet this season.
Manheim Central's win came from a few key players Solanco will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cody Hess, who picked up 105 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made six total tackles. Caleb Moyer was another key player, rushing for 63 yards and one score on only seven carries.
Solanco's record is now 5-1. As for Manheim Central, their record now sits at 4-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's game: Solanco has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 363.7 total yards per game. It's a different story for Manheim Central, though, as they've been averaging only 205.5 total yards. Will Solanco be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Barons flip the script?
Solanco took their victory against Manheim Central when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 33-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Mules since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
