Baseball Recap: New Deal Has No Trouble Against West Texas

New Deal picked up another tournament win on Friday. Everything went their way against the West Texas Comanches as the New Deal Lions made off with a 10-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

New Deal let Dallas Sumner and Jackson Attebury run wild. Sumner scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Attebury scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most hits Sumner has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emilio Rodriguez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

New Deal's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for West Texas, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, New Deal and West Texas will both be playing River Road the next time they take the field. New Deal will head out to face River Road at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while West Texas will host them at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
