Basketball Recap: Palmer Trinity Comes Up Short

Palmer Trinity lost against Doral Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Falcons fell 58-47 to the Firebirds.

When it comes to explaining why Palmer Trinity lost, don't look at Andres Domenech. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Jayden Zsigo was another key player, putting up six points.

Doral Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bruno Rodriguez, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Logan, who posted 12 points and five boards.

Palmer Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Doral Academy, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Palmer Trinity has already played their next game, a 66-59 victory against Westminster Christian on the 24th. As for Doral Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-41 defeat against Dade Christian on the 24th.
