Volleyball Recap: Woodmont Wins High-Profile Game Against Wando

Woodmont faced Wando in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 2-0.

Lauren Smith was nothing short of spectacular: she had 18 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Despite the loss, Wando still got an impressive performance from Violet Poole, who had 13 digs and five assists.

Woodmont now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Wando, their loss dropped their record down to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Woodmont and Greenville will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Wando, they will challenge James Island at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th.
