The Louisville Lions will be taking part in a tournament against the Raymond Central Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Raymond Central took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Louisville, who comes in off a win.
Louisville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Fairbury on Tuesday as they made off with a 22-4 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Alex Sorensen made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. Louisville is 2-1 when Sorensen allows one or fewer earned runs, but 1-9 otherwise. Sorensen was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

He also hit two doubles, marking his first of the season.
Matulka wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Sykes, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-5. Sykes has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
