King's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Western International, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.

Coming up, King is taking a road trip to face off against Academy of the Americas at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Western International, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-2 loss against Cass Tech on the 13th.
