Sahuaro extended the longest winning streak in II Section II this week by beating Sunnyside, 37-10. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.

The Blue Devils fell to Sahuaro 37-10 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Laramie Brown threw for 263 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Rafael Adames was a passing and rushing force as Buena beat Nogales. He completed 16 passes for 329 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 37 yards. Adames' key target this week was Deonte Williams, who caught 5 passes for 136 yards.

Ben Sims was the best running back in the league this week. In 3 carries, he ran for 140 yards as the Colts defeated the Apaches. Teammate Joey Ash added to the ground attack by rushing for 90 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Buena's Adames and Williams have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Adames has thrown for 2,567 yards this season, while Williams has 51 catches for 1,006 yards. Sunnyside's Daniel Bonn leads the league in rushing yards with 976.

Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Ryan Scherling's team's Williams goes up against Glenn Posey's team's Michael Grijalva.

Bonn of the the Blue Devils is only 24 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 155 carries Bonn has accumulated 976 yard this year.

Entering into this week's contest against Desert View, Max Verdugo is short just 30 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season. Accruing a total of 6 touchdowns this year, Verdugo has thrown for 1,970 yards with 11 interceptions.

Next week's game between Buena and Sunnyside will feature a good passing match up as Adames will test his arm against Grijalva's defensive ability.

The Colts are currently in third, while the Blue Devils are in second.
