Basketball Recap: Bucklin Drops Highest Score of Season Against South Central

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bucklin). They walked away with a 61-49 victory over the South Central Timberwolves on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Red Aces have won by exactly 12 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bucklin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emmy Kirk, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 20 points and six assists. Kirk's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Karlee Evans, who went 9 for 18 en route to 24 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Bucklin's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for South Central, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.

Bucklin will be playing at home against Meade at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bucklin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. South Central has already played their next contest (against Satanta), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
