Volleyball Game Preview: Cherryville Ironmen vs. Bradford Prep Bears

The Cherryville Ironmen will square off against the Bradford Prep Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Cherryville is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Highland Tech just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12, 19-25, 25-14.

Despite the loss, Cherryville had strong showings from Camryn Shirley, who had 12 digs and two assists, and Kate Bookout, who had six digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bradford Prep had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lions. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won seven in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bradford Prep took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-14, 25-14.

Cherryville's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Bradford Prep, their win bumped their record up to 16-10.
