Basketball Game Preview: Garrett Railroaders vs. Prairie Heights Panthers

The Garrett Railroaders will face off against the Prairie Heights Panthers at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Garrett lost to Angola on the road by a 60-44 margin. The Railroaders haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last seven times Prairie Heights and Lakeland have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Panthers took a 36-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakers.

Garrett will need to focus on slowing down Avery Certain, one of several Prairie Heights players who made an impact when they last played. She dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Bailee Godsey, who posted four points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Prairie Heights' loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Garrett, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
