Volleyball Recap: Mallard Creek Comes Up Short at Home Against Hickory Ridge

Mallard Creek unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls on Monday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mavericks of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

While Mallard Creek ultimately came up short, they really made Hickory Ridge work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 26-24, 25-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mallard Creek will square off against Sun Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hickory Ridge, they will take on Carson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
