Baseball Game Preview: Seminole Ridge Hawks vs. Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs

The Seminole Ridge Hawks will face off against the Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seminole Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Seminole Ridge challenged Forest Hill on Wednesday. Seminole Ridge came out on top against Forest Hill by a score of 6-2.

Seminole Ridge got a great performance from Dylan Peek as he tossed 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. What's more, Peek also posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Seminole Ridge let Nikolas Halleran and Grady Endemann loose on the outfield. Halleran scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Endemann scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Halleran a new career-high in doubles (two). Brandon Turner also deserves some recognition as he hit his first hits of the season.

Seminole Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Dr. Joaquin Garcia was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They came up short against Benjamin, falling 10-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since April 9, 2024.

Dr. Joaquin Garcia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Palmieri, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Seminole Ridge's record is now 3-1. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Seminole Ridge took their victory against Dr. Joaquin Garcia in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-2. Will Seminole Ridge repeat their success, or does Dr. Joaquin Garcia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
