Baseball Recap: Wilburton Now 9-3 over Last 12 Games

Wilburton won the last time they faced Red Oak and things went their way on Saturday too. The Diggers came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 8-4. The game was the first time the Diggers have beaten the Eagles on their field since April 6, 2023.

Wilburton has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Red Oak, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.

Coming up, Wilburton will head out on the road to challenge Wister at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Diggers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Red Oak, they will welcome Cameron at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 4.1, the Yellow Jackets 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
