Volleyball Game Preview: Anthem Prep Eagles vs. Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs

Anthem Prep is 0-3 against Rancho Solano Prep since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will face off against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Anthem Prep will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

Anthem Prep barely beat Bagdad the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles blew past the Sultans 3-0 on Thursday.

Rancho Solano Prep not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 15th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Red Rock as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Scorpions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Anthem Prep better keep an eye on Bree Howard. She was instrumental in Rancho Solano Prep's win, getting five aces. That's the most aces Howard has posted over her last nine matchups.

Anthem Prep's record is now 15-3. As for Rancho Solano Prep, their record now sits at 17-9.

Anthem Prep might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Rancho Solano Prep in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
