Volleyball Recap: Paige Schlagenhaft Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Houghton

Marshfield saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Houghton Gremlins.

Marshfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paige Schlagenhaft, who had 14 assists and six digs. Those six digs gave Schlagenhaft a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Angela Barnhardt, who had ten digs and two aces.

The victory got Marshfield back to even at 3-3. As for Houghton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Marshfield has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Freedom on the 29th. As for Houghton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Newman on the 29th.
