South Mecklenburg never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Olympic Trojans with a sharp 16-0 victory. The Sabres haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Max Powers looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lauten Mehalic, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Jack Carr, who scored two runs while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

The victory got South Mecklenburg back to even at 2-2. As for Olympic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, South Mecklenburg will head out to square off against Hough at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Mecklenburg's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Hough's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Olympic, they will take on Harding University at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
