Dk Chapman Jr. Turns in Season-Best Performance

Midlothian was led to victory by Dk Chapman Jr., who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Chapman Jr. rushed for 112 yards and four touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

The victory was the sixth in a row for Midlothian, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Chapman Jr. and Midlothian will head out to face off against James River Midlothian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Midlothian got the W thanks in part to Bryce Sowers playing the best football he has all season. Sowers rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making four total tackles.

Powhatan had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Sowers it was a similar story. Sowers rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown the last time he and the Indians duked it out back in October of 2023.

Big Game from Johnson As Huguenot Won 41-14

Huguenot picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Linwood Johnson. Nobody could stop Johnson as he threw for 244 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

Huguenot pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Johnson's next match is against Cosby on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

Iveon Lewis Dazzles in Huguenot Victory

Iveon Lewis was instrumental in extending Huguenot's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Lewis as he picked up 72 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

This year, Lewis has caught 11 touchdowns while averaging 98 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had five receiving touchdowns.
