Volleyball Recap: Allison Freimuth Key Part of Team Effort in Lynx Win + How To Watch

Paradise Adventist Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday CORE Butte proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars. The victory continues a trend for the Lynx in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won six in a row.

CORE Butte's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Allison Freimuth led the charge by getting 30 assists. That's the most assists Freimuth has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mara Gonzalez, who had ten digs.

CORE Butte was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matches.

CORE Butte's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Paradise Adventist Academy, their loss ended an eight-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6.

Looking ahead, CORE Butte will challenge Burney at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paradise Adventist Academy, they will square off against Westwood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Lumberjacks have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
