Soccer Recap: Excelsior Springs Comes Up Short

Excelsior Springs lost against Smithville back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. Excelsior Springs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Excelsior Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Smithville, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Excelsior Springs will take on Kearney at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Smithville, they will challenge Platte County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
