Softball Game Preview: Washington Patriots vs. Fife Trojans

Washington fell victim to Orting and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Cardinals. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Washington saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Steve-Rae Garcia-Zamora, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Meanwhile, Fife also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Puyallup on Friday, falling 10-0. The Trojans have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Fife, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Washington has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .444. However, it's not like Fife struggles in that department as they've averaged .516. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
