Volleyball Recap: Manchester Comes Up Short

Manchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Central Christian Comets, falling 3-0. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Comets from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

While Manchester ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-17.

Emma Ross paced Manchester's offense, picking up ten kills. Ross got some help from Alaina Craig and her 16 assists.

Central Christian can attribute much of their success to Saralyn Stjernholm, who had 12 digs and two aces. Stjernholm is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Manchester's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Central Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Manchester has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Tuslaw on the 26th. As for Central Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Lucas on the 26th.
