Football Game Preview: Bozeman Hawks vs. Gallatin Raptors + How To Watch

The Bozeman Hawks will venture away from home to take on the Gallatin Raptors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Bozeman is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put the hurt on Great Falls with a sharp 70-50 win on Friday. The Hawks pushed the score to 63-42 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bison cut but never quite recovered from.

Van Shockley was his usual excellent self, throwing for 375 yards and five TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punching in a pair of touchdowns on the ground. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 13 passing touchdowns on the season. 105 of Shockley's passing yards were hauled in by Logan Humphrey.

Bozeman didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Great Falls to a completion percentage of just 48%. The team can thank Walker Roodell for the heroic effort on defense: he. Given Shockley's standout performance, it's clear Great Falls' secondary just wasn't on the same level.

Meanwhile, Gallatin strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 34-7 victory over Russell. Fans of the Raptors have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Gallatin's win came from a few key players Bozeman will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Carter Dahlke, who picked up 143 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 43 yards and one touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 57 yards. Bobby Gutzman was another key player, picking up 161 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
