Basketball Recap: Glencoe-Silver Lake Triumphs

Glencoe-Silver Lake lost to Belle Plaine back in March, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Glencoe-Silver Lake Panthers managed an 84-80 victory over the Belle Plaine Tigers.

Glencoe-Silver Lake now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Belle Plaine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glencoe-Silver Lake will be home for the holidays to greet Holy Family Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Glencoe-Silver Lake knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Holy Family Catholic likes a good challenge. As for Belle Plaine, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
