Volleyball Recap: Columbia Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Columbia, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the Brazosport Exporters with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The Roughnecks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Exporters, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17, 25-17.

Hayley Broussard paced Columbia's offense, picking up 12 kills. Broussard got some help from Lynzi Thompson and her 14 assists. Finally, Broussard was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Columbia's record now sits at 22-16. As for Brazosport, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-14 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Columbia and Sinton will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Brazosport does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
