It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but St. Charles North ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lake Park Lancers, sneaking past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the North Stars sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

St. Charles North's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ben Auer, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

St. Charles North's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-11. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Lake Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.

St. Charles North will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lancers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
