Softball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Hancock County

Hancock County entered their tilt with Breckinridge County on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Fighting Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Hornets not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27th (when they won 15-0).

Hancock County got a massive performance out of Audrey Carnes, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI Carnes has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Baylee Estes, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two RBI.

Hancock County pushed their record up to 10-9 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Breckinridge County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
