Archbishop Hoban typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Jackson proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Knights 6-4. The Polar Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Emma Smith was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Chevalier, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Jackson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Archbishop Hoban, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

Looking ahead, Jackson will welcome Ellet at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Archbishop Hoban, they will head out to take on Green at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
