Basketball Recap: Flathead Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Bozeman came into Friday's game looking for another win against Flathead, but Lyric Ersland wouldn't allow it. The Flathead Braves/Bravettes pulled ahead with a 57-56 photo finish over the Bozeman Hawks on Friday thanks in part to Ersland, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten boards. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Brodee Zahn, who posted five points in addition to seven assists and three steals. Those seven assists gave him a new career-high.

Flathead's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Bozeman, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.

Flathead wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-51 loss against Gallatin on the 21st. As for Bozeman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-32 victory against Glacier on the 21st.
