Basketball Recap: Donovan's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak at Home

Donovan hadn't done well against Milford recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Donovan Wildcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Milford Bearcats, sneaking past 50-48. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Bearcats back in December of 2024, they had to take a 58-28 loss.

Donovan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joel Tiffany, who went 7 for 13 en route to 19 points. Those 19 points gave Tiffany a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Onnen, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Donovan was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Donovan's victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-15. As for Milford, they moved to 5-18 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Donovan Wildcats face off against the Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Milford, they will head out on the road to square off against Schlarman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
