Football Game Preview: Tiftarea Academy Panthers vs. Valwood Valiants + How To Watch

Tiftarea Academy is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Friday. After each having a week off, they and the Valwood Valiants will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. Tiftarea Academy has given up an average of 29.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tiftarea Academy came into their game last Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were beaten by Southland Academy 56-20.

Meanwhile, Valwood hadn't done well against North Florida Christian recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Friday. The Valiants took down the Eagles 37-21.

Tiftarea Academy better keep an eye on Kamari Jackson. He was instrumental in Valwood's win, rushing for 164 yards and two touchdowns. Those 164 rushing yards gave Jackson a new career-high. Brycen Wetherington helped out on the ground, rushing for 81 yards.

Valwood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 280 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 150 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Tiftarea Academy dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Valwood, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Tiftarea Academy came up short against Valwood in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 27-21. Thankfully for the Panthers, Triston White (who rushed for 93 yards and one score) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
