Baseball Recap: Nevada Union Miners vs. Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos

Nevada Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Raging Rhinos this season, with their most recent loss being a 9-4 defeat on Friday.

Carter Van Matre was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2024.

Nevada Union's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Twelve Bridges, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-8.
