Softball Recap: Charlotte Catholic Takes a Loss

Charlotte Catholic's last matchup with Independence could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Charlotte Catholic Cougars came up short against the Independence Patriots, falling 13-1. The Cougars have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

Charlotte Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danika Morris, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Charlotte Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Independence, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Charlotte Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-3 victory against Providence Day on the 12th. As for Independence, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 win against Cuthbertson on the 11th.
