Baseball Recap: Minneapolis South Comes Up Short

Minneapolis South lost against Minneapolis Southwest back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers came up short against the Lakers, falling 12-3. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Otto Bares was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Minneapolis South now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Minneapolis Southwest, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Minneapolis South and Minneapolis Southwest will both be playing Washburn the next time they take the field. The Lakers will host the Millers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
