Soccer Recap: Berry Takes a Loss

Berry lost against Myers Park back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cardinals lost 12-0 to the Mustangs. While losing is never fun, Berry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Myers Park are ranked 40th).

Berry has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Myers Park, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Berry is set to square off against their familiar foe Olympic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Myers Park will face off against rival South Mecklenburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
