            Softball Recap: Sandy Valley Sidewinders vs. Pahranagat Valley Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Sandy Valley had lost 15 straight at home dating back to last season, but  on Friday they dropped their record down to 0-14 to make it 16. They lost  21-4 to the Pahranagat Valley Panthers. The Sidewinders were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting  back in April of 2024.
As for Pahranagat Valley, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record  this season. Considering they have won 14 matchups by more than five  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
For Pahranagat Valley's part,  Evie Davis made a splash no matter where she played. She  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Davis has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  stolen bases and two  runs. Those  three  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Mylah Stout was  incredible,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  home run, six  RBI,  and two  stolen bases. Those  six  RBI gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Shada Spencer, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pahranagat Valley beat Sandy Valley by a score of  21-4 later that day.
