Basketball Game Preview: Bristow Pirates vs. Cleveland Tigers

After both having extra time off, the Bristow Pirates and the Cleveland Tigers will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Bristow is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 55 points on December 14th, they were much more limited against Perkins-Tryon two weeks ago. They took a 36-18 bruising from the Demons. The matchup marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Cleveland lost 68-46 to Berryhill two weeks ago. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 335th, while the Chiefs are ranked 122nd).

Cleveland has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Bristow, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-4.

Bristow took their win against Cleveland when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 74-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bristow since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
