Volleyball Recap: Emporia Picks Up Third Consecutive Win + How To Watch

Emporia waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Junction City Bluejays. Surprisingly, this marked the Spartans' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Emporia was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-8.

Jade Xu paced Emporia's offense, picking up six kills. Xu got some help from Kaylee DeWitt and her 18 assists.

Emporia's victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Coincidentally, Emporia and Junction City will both be playing West the next time they take the court. The Spartans will head out to face the Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bluejays will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
