Soccer Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Springfield can now relate to. They came up short against the Mt. Abraham Eagles on Saturday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Springfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Vermont soccer rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Mt. Abraham are ranked second).

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-7-2. As for Mt. Abraham, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-1-1.

Springfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Abraham, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Rice Memorial on the 28th.
