Basketball Recap: Evan Balboa Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

O'Connor posted their closest win since January 18th on Friday. They skirted past the Reagan Rattlers 46-44. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Rattlers: they've now won five in a row.

O'Connor got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Evan Balboa out in front who shot 50% from the field en route to 16 points and six assists. Those six assists gave Balboa a new career-high. Hagen Hurst was another key player, going 6-for-11 to rack up 13 points and six boards.

Despite the loss, Reagan still got an impressive performance from Christian Kelley, who shot 54% from the field on his way to 21 points and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, Kelley now owns an excellent 45.2% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Ozmel Bowen, who posted ten points.

O'Connor now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Reagan, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

O'Connor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-49 defeat against Fort Bend Hightower on the 21st. As for Reagan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 41-34 victory against Fulshear on the 21st.
