River Valley had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Eau Claire on Wednesday. The Mustangs blew past the Beavers 3-0. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Beavers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

River Valley's win bumped their record up to 8-6-3. As for Eau Claire, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, River Valley will head out on the road to challenge Bridgman at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Eau Claire, they will square off against Covert at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
