Softball Recap: Altamonte Christian Comes Up Short

Altamonte Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Orangewood Christian Rams, falling 17-1. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Aisling Bane made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Five bases. while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases.

Altamonte Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Orangewood Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Altamonte Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Master's Academy at 5:00 p.m. on March 27th. Orangewood Christian also won't see the field for a while: their next game is against Trinity Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on March 24th. Orangewood Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
