Volleyball Game Preview: Sardis Lions vs. Douglas Eagles

After both having extra time off, the Sardis Lions and the Douglas Eagles will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sardis has five straight victories, Douglas has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, Sardis earned a 2-0 win over Sylvania.

Douglas had taken Kate Duncan Smith DAR down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Eagles came up short against the Patriots, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Patriots since October 5, 2023.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 25-12.

Sardis' victory bumped their record up to 25-10. As for Douglas, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-18.

Everything went Sardis' way against Douglas in their previous meeting back in September, as Sardis made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
