Volleyball Recap: Lindbergh Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

It's playoff time, and Lindbergh had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the St. Pius X Lancers on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Flyers, who have now won eight contests in a row.

One reason for the win was Lindbergh's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 25-15.

Lindbergh found their leader in sophomore Alex Ahrens, who had ten digs and three aces. With that strong performance, Ahrens is now averaging an impressive 12.4 assists per game.

Lindbergh pushed their record up to 29-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for St. Pius X, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season.

Lindbergh will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Louis University at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Pius X does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
