Softball Recap: Hamilton Gets the Win

Hamilton won the last time they faced Fayette County and things went their way on Thursday too. The Aggies came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 4-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Addi Wilson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Darcy Tittle, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March.

The win got Hamilton back to even at 14-14. As for Fayette County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Hamilton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Muscle Shoals at 4:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Fayette County, they will square off against Lamar County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
