It was a good run, but Pearland unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a hard 52-35 fall against the Summer Creek Bulldogs. If the Oilers were looking for revenge after losing 51-34 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pearland lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Anita Nwosu, who posted seven points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Leigha Bolar, who had eight points.

Pearland's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Summer Creek, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Pearland won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Seven Lakes at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Summer Creek, they and Clark will face off at 1:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The Bulldogs will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.89 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
