Volleyball Recap: Addison West and Callaway Sauls Secure Win for Goldsboro + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Goldsboro, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Southern Wayne Saints on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Tuesday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Goldsboro took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13, 25-10.

Leading Goldsboro to victory were Callaway Sauls and Addison West. Sauls had seven aces, while West had nine aces and three digs. Those nine aces gave West a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Goldsboro was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southern Wayne only served one ace.

With the victory, Goldsboro broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Southern Wayne, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Coincidentally, Goldsboro and Southern Wayne will both be playing Farmville Central the next time they take the court. The Saints will host the Jaguars at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Cougars will play them later in the day, at 3:45 p.m.
