Basketball Recap: Westran's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Westran strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Slater Wildcats by a score of 68-59. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Westran got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cruze Haynes out in front who went 7-for-9 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. The matchup was Haynes' third in a row with at least 21 points. Jordan Black was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and ten assists.

Westran's record now sits at 3-0. As for Slater, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Westran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-42 win against Harrisburg on the 5th. As for Slater, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-66 victory against Fayette on the 5th.
